There is something about sleddogs…
For centuries, sled dogs have been an essential part of life in the northern regions of the world. From Alaska and Greenland to Siberia and Lapland, they have carried people across vast winter landscapes, supported polar expeditions and delivered mail through conditions where boats, trains and horses could not go.
Today, sled dogs still have a unique place in the North. They bring people into the wilderness, far beyond the rhythm of everyday life, and offer a way to experience nature that is both authentic and deeply connected to the landscape.
Our story begins around 2003, with our founder Jet. With few years of experience in the dogsledding business in Switzerland already behind her, she followed a new opportunity north. After spending a winter as a dog handler in Klimpfjäll, Sweden, she knew that this was the place where she was meant to stay. The breathtaking views of Jämtland, the connection to the dogs and the authentic relationships with the locals captured her heart like no place else.
What began as a winter experience gradually became a way of life. Jet settled in Jämtland and built a life around the dogs, the landscape and the values that had drawn her north in the first place. Over the years, the pack grew, the farm took shape and what started as a personal passion became a place where others could experience the same connection to the North.
Today, the husky farm is more than a home for our dogs. It is a place where people come to slow down, reconnect with nature and experience the quiet rhythm of life in the North. Surrounded by forest and the vast landscapes of Jämtland, we invite our guests to leave city life behind and discover the wilderness at the heels of a pack of huskies.
An Ever Expanding Family
Today, Jet is a dog behaviour consultant and trained musher. She lives alongside her 30 huskies, two Cattle Dogs and one Malinois. Each dog has its own personality, individual character and way of communicating. Together, they form something truly special — an inseparable team, a pack, a family. Jet’s work is built on trust, friendship and sensitivity, while always keeping a clear understanding of who leads the pack.
This passion is also at the heart of what we share with our guests throughout the year. From dogsledding adventures in winter to dog behaviour courses, summer dog yoga sessions and autumn husky training, there are many ways to experience life alongside our dogs. Our lodges are also open to those who simply wish to slow down, relax and spend some time in the company of man’s best friend.
Over the years, our family has grown, welcoming not only more dogs, but also friends, volunteers and helpers who have come into our lives along the way..
